سعد، عن ابن أبي الخطاب، عن ابن أسباط، عن البطائني، عن أبي بصير، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد عليه السلام، أنّه قال: يا أبا بصير، نحن شجرة العلم، ونحن أهل بيت النبيّ صلّى الله عليه وآله، وفي دارنا مهبط جبرئيل، ونحن خزّان علم الله، ونحن معادن وحي الله، من تبعنا نجا، ومن تخلّف عنّا هلك، حقاً على الله عزّ وجل.
Saʿd, from Ibn Abī’l-Khaṭṭāb, from Ibn Asbāṭ, from al-Baṭāʾinī, from Abī Baṣīr, from al-Ṣādiq, Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad عليه السلام, that he said: “O’ Abā Baṣīr, we are the tree of knowledge and the people of the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وعلى آله house, and Jibraʾīl descends in our abode. We are the custodians of Allāh’s knowledge, and the repositories of Allāh’s revelations. Whoever follows us is saved, and whoever holds back from us perishes—it is a right upon Allāh عز وجل.”[1]
