وإذا صليت خلف من يقتدى به فلا يجوز لك أن تقرأ خلفه في سائر الصلاة سواء كان مما يجهر فيها بالقراءة أو مما لا يجهر وعليك أن تسبح الله تعالى وتهلله اللهم إلا أن تكون صلاة تجهر فيها بالقراءة ولا تسمعها أنت فانه حينئذ يجب عليك القراءة وان سمعت شيئا من القراءة اجزأك وان خفي عليك بعضه والذي يدل على ما ذكرناه ما رواه
And if you pray behind someone who is to be followed, then it is not permissible for you to recite behind him in any part of the prayer, whether it is a prayer in which the recitation is audible or one in which it is not audible. Instead, you must glorify Allah سبحانه وتعالى (say tasbih) and declare His عز وجل oneness (tahlil), unless it is a prayer in which the recitation is done aloud and you do not hear it then in that case, recitation becomes obligatory upon you. And if you hear some of the recitation, it suffices you, even if some of it is indistinct to you. And what indicates what we have mentioned is what was narrated:
