حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ اَلْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فِي جَنَازَتِهِ يَمْشِي فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِهِ أَ لاَ تَرْكَبُ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ فَقَالَ« إِنِّي لَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَرْكَبَ وَ اَلْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَمْشُونَ»».
Hammad narrated from Hariz, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi ‘Abdillah, from Abu ‘Abdullah عليه السلام:
Imam عليه السلام said: "A man from the Ansar, one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family), passed away. The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family) went out with his funeral, walking. Some of his companions said to him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم: 'Will you not ride, O Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى?' He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم replied: 'I dislike riding while the angels are walking.'"
