وَ بِهَذَا اَلْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنِ اَلْعَلاَءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فِي جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا فَلَمَّا أَنْ دَفَنُوهُ قَامَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى قَبْرِهِ فَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ مِمَّا يَلِي رَأْسَهُ ثَلاَثاً بِكَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ بَسَطَ كَفَّهُ عَلَى اَلْقَبْرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ« اَللَّهُمَّ جَافِ اَلْأَرْضَ عَنْ جَنْبَيْهِ وَ أَصْعِدْ إِلَيْكَ رُوحَهُ وَ لَقِّهِ مِنْكَ رِضْوَاناً وَ أَسْكِنْ قَبْرَهُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ مَا تُغْنِيهِ بِهِ عَنْ رَحْمَةِ مَنْ سِوَاكَ» ثُمَّ مَضَى.
And through this chain of narrators, from ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from some of his companions, from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin, from Muhammad ibn Muslim:
He said: "I was with Abu Ja‘far عليه السلام at the funeral of one of our companions. After they buried him, Imam عليه السلام went to his grave, poured soil over it three times with his hands near the head, then spread his palm over the grave and said: 'O Allah سبحانه وتعالى, make the earth gentle on his sides, raise his soul to You, grant him Your pleasure, and fill his grave with mercy that will make him independent of the mercy of anyone besides You.' Then Imam عليه السلام departed."
