I said: “Then she sees purity for three or four days.” Imam عليه السلام said: "She should pray." I said: “Then she sees blood for three or four days.” Imam عليه السلام said: "She should refrain from prayer." I said: “Then she sees purity for three or four days.” Imam عليه السلام said: "She should pray." I said: “Then she sees blood for three or four days.” Imam عليه السلام said: "She should refrain from prayer and observe her condition until a month has passed. If the bleeding stops, then that is her menstrual period. Otherwise, she should consider herself in the state of istihadah (irregular bleeding)."
