Chapter on Menstruation, Istihada (abnormal bleeding), and Nifas (postpartum bleeding)

Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id narrated from Hammad, from Hariz, from someone who informed him, from Abu Ja‘far and Abu ‘Abdillah عليه السلام: Imam عليه السلام was asked regarding a pregnant woman who sees blood. The Imams عليه السلام said: "She should refrain from prayer, for it is possible that some blood remained in the womb and did not come out earlier. This is known as 'al-Hiraqah' (a form of discharge)."
