Muhammad bin Ya‘qub narrated from Muhammad bin Yahya, from Ali bin Isma‘il, from Ali bin Al-Nu‘man, from Al-Qasim bin Muhammad, from Ja‘far bin Sulayman, from his uncle, who said: I asked Abu Al-Hasan Musa عليه السلام: 'May I be your ransom, if a man's shoe is torn and he inserts his hand to wipe over the tops of his feet, will that suffice him?'" Imam عليه السلام replied: "Yes."
