Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 2|Book 1|Chapter 13
From him, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Al-Hasan ibn Ziyad Al-Sayqal who said:
I asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a man who forgot Dhuhr until he had already prayed two rak'ahs of Asr. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should consider it as Dhuhr and then newly begin Asr." I said: “What if he forgot Maghrib until he had prayed two rak'ahs of Isha, and then he remembered?” Imam عليه السلام said: "He should complete his prayer and then afterward make up Maghrib." I said to Imam عليه السلام: “May I be your ransom, you said that when one forgets Dhuhr and then remembers during Asr, he should consider it Dhuhr and then start Asr anew, but here you said he should complete his prayer and afterward make up Maghrib.” Imam عليه السلام said: "This is not like that, for after Asr there is no other prayer, but after Isha there is still another prayer (Maghrib that was missed)."
