Chapter on the Prayer Times (Mawaqit)

As for what was narrated by Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from Ali ibn Al-Nu‘man and Ibn Ribat from Sa‘id al-A‘raj from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, who said: I asked Him عليه السلام about the time of Dhuhr prayer, is it when the sun passes its zenith? Imam عليه السلام said: “After the zenith by the measure of a footstep (qadam) or so, except in travel or on the day of Jumu‘ah, for its time is when the sun passes its zenith.”
