Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 2|Book 1|Chapter 14
Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub from Ya'qub from Abu Hammam:
Abu Al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: "The Adhan and the Iqamah are to be said twice, twice." And Imam عليه السلام said: "If he gives the Iqamah twice, twice, and does not give the Adhan, it suffices for him in the obligatory prayer. But whoever gives the Iqamah once, once, and does not give the Adhan, it does not suffice for him except with an Adhan."
