From him, from Al-‘Amraki, from Ali ibn Ja‘far, from his brother (Imam) Musa ibn Ja‘far عليه السلام, peace be upon them both, who said:
I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man who has a wart or a wound, may he remove the wart during his prayer or pluck some flesh from that wound and throw it away? Imam عليه السلام said: "If he does not fear that blood will flow, then there is no problem. But if he fears that blood will flow, then he should not do it." And I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man who, while in prayer, was struck by someone who caused a gash and blood flowed, so he left the prayer, washed it, and did not speak until he returned to the mosque, does he count what he already prayed or must he start over? Imam عليه السلام said: "He must start the prayer from the beginning and not count anything of what he already prayed."
