Chapter on What is Permissible and Impermissible to Pray in - of Clothing and Place
Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Al-‘Amraki Al-Bufaki, from Ali ibn Ja‘far, from his brother (Imam) Musa عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said:
I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man whose belongings were either taken from him or drowned, so he remained naked, and the time of prayer arrived, how should he pray? Imam عليه السلام said: "If he finds grass with which he can cover his private parts, then he should complete his prayer with bowing and prostration; but if he does not find anything to cover his private parts, then he should gesture while standing."
