Chapter on What is Permissible and Impermissible to Pray in - of Clothing and Place

From him, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr, from Al-Ridha, peace be upon him, who said: I asked Imam عليه السلام about leather socks, if a man goes to the market and buys leather socks without knowing whether the leather is from a lawfully slaughtered animal or not, what do you say about praying in them while he does not know? Should he pray in them? Imam عليه السلام said: "Yes. I buy leather socks from the market, and they are made for me, and I pray in them. And it is not obligatory upon you to ask."
