Ahmad ibn Abi Abdillah, from some of our companions, from Ali ibn Asbat, from his uncle Ya‘qub ibn Salim:
He asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, about a man who rises at the end of the night and raises his voice with the Qur’an. Imam عليه السلام said: “It is proper for a man, when he prays at night, to make his voice heard by his family, so that the one who is already awake may rise and the one stirring may become active.”
