Chapter on the Rulings of Missed Prayers

As for what was narrated by al-Husayn ibn Said from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-Is ibn al-Qasim, he said: I asked Aba Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about a man upon whom the time of prayer enters while he is traveling, then he enters his house before having prayed it. He said: “He must pray it as four (rak’ahs).” And Imam عليه السلام said: “He continues to shorten (the prayer) until he enters his house.”
