Chapter on the Prayer over the Dead

Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad, from Zurarah and al-Halabi: Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked regarding a man and a woman (together), how is the funeral prayer performed over them? Imam عليه السلام said: “The man and the woman are placed together, and the man is positioned closest to the imam (of prayer).” (meaning Infront of the imam of prayer)
