Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad, from al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, performed five takbirs over Sahl ibn Hunayf, who had participated in Badr. Then Imam Ali عليه السلام walked for a while (with his bier), then placed him down and performed another five takbirs over him. He عليه السلام continued doing this until he had pronounced twenty-five takbirs over him.”
