Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting
Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Faddal narrated that from Yaqub ibn Yazid, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr, from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtari, from Mansur ibn Hazim, who said:
I (narrator) said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “Whoever did not fast the three days during Hajj until the crescent (al-hilal) was sighted for him?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Upon him is a blood-sacrifice which he pours forth, and there is no fasting upon him.”
