Chapter on Ruling of the Forgetful One and the Mistaken One Regarding Fasting

And from him, from al-Husayn ibn Ulwan, from Sa’ad ibn Tarif, from al-Asbagh ibn Nubatah, who said: A man came to the Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, peace be upon him, and said: “O Commander of the Faithful, may I kiss while I am fasting?” Imam عليه السلام said to him: “Keep your fast chaste, for the beginning of fighting is slapping (al-litam).”
