Ali ibn al-Sindi, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Jamil ibn Darraj, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: Imam عليه السلام said: “There is no harm in a man giving on behalf of his dependents while they are absent from him, or ordering them so they give on his behalf while he is absent from them,” meaning al-fitrah.
