Chapter on Additions

Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Najran, from Hammad ibn Isa, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Abdullah, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I (narrator) asked Imam عليه السلام about ‘a man who fasted the month of Ramadan while traveling.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “If it had not reached him that the blessed Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, forbade that, then there is no make-up fast upon him, and the fast has sufficed on his behalf.”
