The Signs of the Mahdī’s Reappearance
Al-Imāma wa’l-Tabṣira min al-Ḥayra|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 12
الحميري، عن محمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن عبداللّه بن محمد الحجّال، عن حمّاد بن عثمان، عن أبي بصير، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام، في قول الله عزّ وجل: ﴿يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ﴾. قال: الأئمة من ولد عليّ وفاطمة عليهما السلام، الى أنْ تقوم الساعة.
Al-Ḥimyarī, from Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. Abī’l-Khaṭṭāb, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Muḥammad al-Ḥajjāl, from Ḥammād b. ʿUthmān, from Abī Baṣīr, from Abī Jaʿfar عليه السلام in regards to the statement of Allāh عز وجل: ﴾O’ you who have faith! Obey Allāh and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you﴿ [4:59]—he said: “(They are) the Imams from the progeny of ʿAlī and Fāṭima عليهما السلام, until the occurrence of the Hour.”
