Chapter on Supplication Between the Units of Prayer (Rak‘at)
Ali ibn Hatim, from Ali ibn Sulayman, from Ahmad ibn Ishaq, from Sa’adan, from Murazim, from a man, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “When you raise your head from prostration, begin with supplication and the recitation of ‘Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Qadr’ (Surah Al-Qadr) and other recitations that are recommended to be read. If it is not possible for you to supplicate between every two units of prayer, then supplicate during the sets of ten (rak‘at). And when it is the night of the twenty-third, then recite ‘Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Qadr’ (Surah Al-Qadr) a thousand times, and recite Surah al-Ankabut and Surah al-Rum once each.”
